Wellbeing pioneers Green Stem CBD has proudly scooped another set of high-profile national awards, adding to a phenomenal tally this year.
Triumphing at the recent UK Hemp & CBD Show, the Surrey-based company walked away with the coveted honour of ‘Best Oil’ for its 300mg Black Cherry-flavoured CBD oral drops. The oil was singled out by judges for its clean, light taste with just a hint of fresh cherry, as well as its effective delivery of health-promoting CBD. As if that weren’t enough, Green Stem CBD also notched up major wins in the ‘Best Packaging’ and ‘Best Inhalable’ categories.
The latest accolades are the perfect companion to the five awards that Green Stem CBD won earlier this year at the inaugural UK Hemp & CBD Show. There, it won the top prize for its Seville Orange-flavoured CBD oil, plus its natural lip balm and apple and raspberry vape liquid, as well as in the packaging and display stand categories.
With its products attracting such widespread recognition and acclaim, Green Stem CBD’s presence on the UK high street has increased dramatically in recent months, with several items now available at Boots stores nationwide – including its CBD drops in three flavours, luxury bath bombs and soothing lip balms. The full range, which now extends to edibles, drinks and vape kits, is also available online.
Extracted from hemp plants, CBD – or cannabidiol – is renowned for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and pain-relieving qualities. It is also said to ease anxiety and insomnia and bring other wide-ranging benefits to the skin and body. About Green Stem
Green Stem was founded in October 2018 by brothers Brett and Simon Horth. The idea came to light when vaping business owner Brett took some CBD oil to their mother, who had been struggling with arthritic hands, back pain and broken sleep. Although she was sceptical and feared ‘getting high’, she was reassured it was safe to try. Three days later, she called to tell her sons that the pain in her hands and her back had eased and she enjoyed the best night’s sleep she could remember.
With the Green Stem vision born, the pair immersed themselves in the CBD market, visiting Colorado to meet suppliers and researching products and formulations. From the outset, they knew they would use only the very best; meaning the purest and highest potency CBD available. All products contain active CBD from either 99% pure CBD isolate or broad-spectrum hemp oil distillate. Green Stem products are also created in the UK and adhere to strict guidelines on quality and purity.
March 2019 saw the UK’s first industry Hemp & CBD expo and awards, and though the brothers were not yet ready, they decided to create a small run of products for the event. They submitted seven entries out of 11 categories, and were thrilled and overwhelmed to win five of them – in a field of more than 110 exhibitors. The awards were for Best CBD Oil, Best Inhalable, Best Cosmetic, Best Packaging and Best Exhibition Stand.
After meeting representatives from Boots that same day, they were later invited to be part of the store’s new CBD product range in its ‘Store of the Future.’ Last month, Green Stem products went on sale in 350 Boots stores.
